Campus Address: Burchfield Penney Art Center
Kathy Gaye Shiroki is the curator of museum learning and community engagement at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, Coordinator of the Czurles-Nelson Gallery, and lecturer at SUNY Buffalo State. She earned her MFA from the University of California, San Diego and her BFA from Temple University, Tyler School of Art. Ms. Shiroki develops educational programming in which she invites visitors to enjoy the process of looking at art and to question their surroundings. Her previous work includes creating interactive spaces at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. She has recently focused on having a conversation with a work of art and integrating that conversation into the course curriculum.
